Alive Gym Technologies ("Alive Gym", "we", "our", or "us") operates the Alive Gym mobile applications for Android and iOS, the public website alivegym.in, and the admin management platform admin.alivegym.in (collectively, the "Service").
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal and sensitive health data you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information in strict accordance with the Google Play Developer Distribution Agreement, Google Play Health Data Policies, Apple App Store Review Guidelines, and applicable privacy laws including GDPR, CCPA, and the Indian Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act.
02. Information We Collect
When you register, configure your profile, or use Alive Gym, we collect:
- Account Information: Name, email address, password hash, and optional profile avatar.
- Physical & Fitness Telemetry: Age, biological gender, height, weight, body circumference measurements, fitness experience level, and target goals (e.g. fat loss, hypertrophy, maintenance).
- Activity, Workout & Dietary Logs: Sets, reps, weights lifted, exercise completion timestamps, meal intake, calories, and macronutrient breakdowns (protein, carbs, fats).
- Device & Health Integrations: Daily step counts, distance, and active caloric burn fetched via Google Health Connect (Android) or Apple HealthKit (iOS), only after your explicit in-app permission.
- AI Coach Conversation Transcripts: Text messages and prompts sent to the Gemini-powered Alive Coach AI to provide context-aware fitness advice.
03. How We Use Your Information
We process your data strictly to deliver and improve our fitness services:
To generate customized workout plans, rest timers, and tailored exercise recommendations.
To calculate your TDEE, macronutrient distributions, and track calorie burn.
To sync your smartwatch activity and display your daily movement ring.
To send optional workout reminders and daily streak preservation notifications via Firebase FCM.
04. Third-Party SDKs & Services
We work with trusted industry service providers who adhere to strict data security standards:
- Google Health Connect & Apple HealthKit: Used solely to read/write fitness activity upon user authorization. Health data is never sold or used for advertising.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): Used to deliver push notification alerts to your device.
- Google Gemini API: Processes fitness prompts to generate dynamic workout and meal plans. Transcripts are transmitted securely via encrypted API channels.
- Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): Displays privacy-compliant ads to free tier users. VIP subscribers enjoy an ad-free experience.
05. Data Retention & Right to Erasure (Google Play Requirement)
You retain absolute ownership of your data. You may request the permanent deletion of your Alive Gym account and all associated workout, nutrition, biometric, and chat telemetry at any time.
You can delete your account directly inside the mobile app via Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account, or use our public self-service account deletion portal:

All data in transit is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3), and sensitive credentials are hashed using bcrypt and stored in private PostgreSQL databases behind reverse proxies.
